Company history
Capital ATM was started in early 2010 when local business owner Rusty Chenoweth in response to a problem he found himself consistently having: he needed to make purchases but found that he had no money in pocket to do so. The locations of ATM machines always seemed inconvenient to the places that needed them the most. With some capital saved up, he decided to purchase and old second-hand ATM machine, fix it, and install it in a local business. The ATM did well, and Capital ATM began expanding to what it is today.
Capital ATM today
Capital ATM operates machines in many multiple locations in Charleston, Summerville, Goose Creek, West Ashley, and Ladson, as well as maintaining a number of “event machines” which are used at specific local events, such as High school football games, Boat and RV shows, and other venues. Capital ATM works directly with the only professional ATM repairman in South Carolina, maintaining the up-time of every machine for the maximum profit of your business.
Our basic business model
Capital ATM is dedicated to providing easy solutions for business owners who already have a lot to think about. As a business owner himself, Rusty Chenoweth knows that the more things that a business owner has to worry about, the less they can focus on other things. Our goal is to give you an easy-to-use, hassle free ATM experience at no cost to you. We make all our profits from usage fees, so just having our machines out there increases our profit margins, meaning we don’t have to charge you anything for upkeep, and we’re always right on top of servicing, because when your machine isn’t making transactions, neither is Capital ATM.
